Team Pledges

Pledging more than 20 Shoeboxes? Why not create a Team and collaborate with family, friends or colleagues?A Team Pledge is a great way to build team spirit – create some gees in the workplace, share the joy with your book club or braai circle, or teach your learners the Joy of Giving. It’s also a wonderful bonding experience for a family!

Step 1 - Who can make a Team Pledge?

Any person or group of people who wants to pledge 20 or more Shoeboxes

Step 2 - What are the benefits of doing a Team Pledge?

A team can very easily do national pledges, if multiple branches of your Organisation want to participate
You get to jump the pledging queue, as we can allocate your pledges from mid August
You effectively get an extra time to shop for your Shoebox contents, knowing who you have pledged for
You can do fun team-building by decorating the boxes together
A Section 18A tax deductible receipt is available
As a Level One Contributor to B-BBEE, Santa Shoebox earns its supporters 135% procurement recognition

Step 3 - What will I need to do?

Select someone to drive the Project – Human Resources, Marketing, Reception, Teacher(s), Parent(s), Group Leader
The project driver needs to liaise with team members and relay important information to them
Ensure that all pledged Shoeboxes contain all 8 required items – all new, unused and age-appropriate
Ensure that each pledged box has the corresponding Santa Shoebox label attached
Ensure that all pledged Shoeboxes are delivered to the correct Drop Off point(s) on the correct dates

The Drop Off is an event when local donors who have pledged online, deliver their specially-made Shoeboxes to a local venue on a specific date, towards the end of October and early in November
